アメリカ合衆国のプロレスラー。
本名はドーランス・アーネス・ファンク。
アメリカ合衆国インディアナ州インディアナポリス出身で、後テキサス州アマリロに転じた。
ニックネームは「グレート・テキサン」。父親のドリー・ファンク・シニア、弟のテリー・ファンクも著名なプロレスラーである。テリー・ファンクとタッグチーム「ザ・ファンクス」を組み、日本でも大活躍した。

My thanks to Greg Price for NWA Wrestling Fanfest Weekend in
Charlotte North Carolina.

It was my honor to induct Joe Blanchard into the Hall of Heroes.
Joe played football and wrestled for Kansas State University in the
early 50s. In Joe's senior year, they played and defeated Nebraska.
